GENEALOGY DAY 2015.
Following on from last year's 'Made in Limerick event' for City of Culture, Genealogy Day will be taking place again. The organisers are Christ Church United Presbyterian and Methodist Church in partnership with the Irish Ancestry Research Centre (IARC). The event is on Saturday 14 March 2015 during St Patrick's weekend in Christ Church 51A O'Connell Street and its completely free to attend.

THE FIRST international genealogy conference in Limerick attracted a good mix of Irish and overseas visitors to the Strand Hotel.

Aoife, Anne Marie and John manned the IARC stand at the Genealogy Day (at Christ Church, 51A O'Connell St., Limerick City, Ireland) on Saturday 15th March 2014. They also manned the Christ Church stand with their original records for baptisms, marriages and schools registers from the mid 1800s onward. Fascinating stuff!, nice day.
What a wonderful Over 50s show in Cork City Hall this weekend. Well done to the organisers on that one. Massive crowds and interest in all the great products and services. Hotels deals, health checks, genealogy stand, revenue advice, active retirement groups and tourism activities to name but a few. Contract Bridge a great hit also with wonderful talks throughout. Great fun. Lorna Moloney was at the show promoting genealogy, Ancestral Connections: Names, Places and Spaces at UCC this summer 29th June – 6th July.
