Digital Services

Digitisation involves converting information from paper and other physical formats to a digital or electronic format. Using high resolution imaging equipment in our specialised Digitisation Unit at IARC, we transpose historical and genealogical data to a searchable format. Our team of experts have spent many years digitising a vast range of records and data. Some of their work has included the digitisation of birth & marriage registers, criminal, medical, funeral and obituary records, wills and photographic collections. These digitised records can provide valuable information for ancestry and history researchers.

We have partnered with the Dublin Diocesan Archives, the National Archives, the National Library,  the Glucksman Library at the University of Limerick, Kerry and Clare County Libraries to facilitate online access to historical records.
