IARC (Irish Ancestry Research Centre), a not-for-profit organization affiliated with the University of Limerick is seeking a suitably qualified person to lead the company in the planning of its future goals, growth objectives and workable business plan.
IARC presently employs two highly qualified genealogical experts to run academic courses accredited by U.L. and UCC and to deal with ancestry research queries from clinics and walk-ins. IARC is now seeking a General Manager to do the following:

– Devise a credible three-year business and financial plan for the organization.

– Deliver on it and modify it as appropriate to reflect changing circumstances.

– Lead and motivate a small, dedicated team of people in pursuit of the organization’s goals.

– Develop a vision as to what the organization might aspire to 5 to 10 years out.

The successful applicant should have an interest in genealogy and ancestral history, be internally motivated to succeed, have good leadership and people management skills and an understanding of financial processes and reporting at a level appropriate for a small organization.

IARC operates out of 58 O’Connell Street in the City of Limerick from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. five days a week.
